あまり見ない八木の掛花生。小振りである。
床柱に掛けるようなものだと思う。
ロクロで一気に挽き上げ、
肩から口にかけては、
さらにその加速度が増しているように思われる。
口に至り、残り少なくなってくる土を、
自在な手指でもって一気に成形しているようで、
図ったのかどうかわからないが、
勢いで出来たような
即興的な小さな別の穴が見える。
口二つの花入のようなものになっている。
化粧の様子が陰翳深く、
胴から底部にかけての
５ヵ所の鎬(しのぎ)の入れようも一流独自で、
心にくくも作者歴然たるものを感じさせる。

Works with wooden boxes already made for them include the price of the box in the product price. As for works without wooden boxes, we can, at the buyer’s request, have a box made for a separate fee. About ten days are necessary for a box to be made and then inscribed by the artist. For example : a paulownia wood box with a two-cleat lid with cords would be 2,500 yen for a sake cup, or 3,500yen for a tea bowl.
