鯉江良二が茶碗に制作意欲を向けるのは、
４０代後半からである。
これは５０代あたりの頃の作だと思われる。
フォルムは瀬戸黒風といえようか。
底は薄く削り出した二重高台になっている。
地に着くかのようなところでかすかに浮き上がっている。
高台脇から立ち上がる際のエッジが鋭利である。
化粧の濃淡、一文字にひいた力強い鉄の刷毛目、
見込底の巴になった渦文、高台回りの焦げたような様相など、
すべてに心にくく、鯉江独壇場の世界であり、
余人には真似できないと思う。
内側の、見込と胴のきわに見られる窯キズは裏に抜けていない。

Works with wooden boxes already made for them include the price of the box in the product price. As for works without wooden boxes, we can, at the buyer’s request, have a box made for a separate fee. About ten days are necessary for a box to be made and then inscribed by the artist. For example : a paulownia wood box with a two-cleat lid with cords would be 2,500 yen for a sake cup, or 3,500yen for a tea bowl.
