鯉江は、この人間の手におえない科学技術の成果に対して、
一貫して否定の立場に立ってきた。
それを作品にしてきた。
原子爆弾に対しては、ノーモアヒロシマ・ナガサキである。
ミシンや時計が、シェルベンの上で焼けただれ熔けていた。
そしてまた起こった悲劇であるチェルノブイリにも激しく反応する。
その２５年後、フクシマでまたまた同じ光景を私たちは見ている。
鯉江が渾身の社会的メッセージを込め発表してきたシリーズである。
これ以外の一大事はないかのように、
唯一のオブジェによる連作となしている。
シェルベンとは、衛生陶器を粉砕した粉のことで、
耐火レンガの上で、
真っ白く頽(くずお)れたような築山が目を射る。
白砂のような様子だが、
もともと衛生陶器に施されていた釉によって
釉着し固まっている。

Works with wooden boxes already made for them include the price of the box in the product price. As for works without wooden boxes, we can, at the buyer’s request, have a box made for a separate fee. About ten days are necessary for a box to be made and then inscribed by the artist. For example : a paulownia wood box with a two-cleat lid with cords would be 2,500 yen for a sake cup, or 3,500yen for a tea bowl.
